Redmond Repair Cafe @ COCC

February 21, 2017 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Free

As part of the Redmond Public Library’s Tinker Tuesday series, we’ll be holding our next Repair Cafe at the Redmond Technology Education Center at COCC on February 21st. Once again we will have volunteers on hand to repair small appliances, clothes, jewelry and small furniture. One item repaired at a time, on a first come first served basis.

This event is not at the Redmond Library, but at the Redmond Technology Education Center at COCC. Google Maps is not accurate if you type in the address, so here is a direct link on Google Maps to the correct building on COCC’s Redmond Campus. Switching to Earth View also gives more accuracy in terms of streets, parking lots, and how to find the building. Click on venue information below to get explicit directions.

On Tuesday, September 16th, from 5:30 – 7:30 pm, The Gear Fix and The Environmental Center’s Rethink Waste Project are hosting a Fall Repair Café.  A repair café is a free event that connects people with broken stuff, with people that like to fix stuff.  Volunteers will be on hand to repair – and share […]

Use It Up, Wear It Out

“Use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without” Growing up in Finland, one of the important life skills I learned was darning a woolen sock using a wooden ‘mushroom’ as a form, weaving wool thread criss-cross from side to side with a big needle.  With fiercely cold winters, woolen socks […]
